Two robbers were shot dead, and one was captured in the Caprice robbery.

The Police say it has shot dead two and captured one of the armed robbers who went after and shot a lady at Whim in Accra last Friday.

As indicated by the Police, this follows “supported police insight activities” since the day of the occurrence.

In a press proclamation on Monday, December 12, the Police said its knowledge tasks drove them to the refuge of the robbers.

“Police have shot dead two armed robbers and captured one regarding the robber’s assault at Whim in Accra on Friday, December 9, 2022, where a female victim was attacked, shot, and robbed.

“Supported police knowledge activities since ninth December 2022, took the battle to the robber’s posse at their refuge (name of the area withheld for now).”

The delivery added that the robbers connected with the Police in a weapon fight, which result in the killing of the two robbers.

It added that one of its personnel sustained a gunshot injury in the process.

“The robbers engaged the police in a shoot out and in the process, two were shot dead and one was arrested.

“One police officer sustained a gunshot injury to his thigh and is receiving medical attention,” portions of the statement added.

Meanwhile, the release concluded that “Police intelligence operations continue to get the rest of the gang members arrested.”

About the incident

A viral video of the robber’s assault shows the lady was gone after in her vehicle while in rush hour gridlock at Eccentricity, close to Kokomlemle.

The casualty was shot in hand and her vehicle’s back entryway glass was additionally obliterated.
